SEO or search engine optimization is the streamlining of your website’s content into a fashion that makes it readily available and easily searched for on a search engine. This is a crucial strategy to employ in web design if you want to generate more hits on your web site. When SEO is done correctly your website will have higher visibility through search engines and as such will generate more visitors. The way this is done is by editing the content of your web site in such a matter to make sure that it can be found by a broad audience of people searching for various keywords that are related to the content on your website.

One important aspect in web design to make your website search engine optimization friendly is to avoid using too much flash animation as well as the use of frames on your website. Search engine trolling spiders cannot index content made in flash, because they look for text with key words that are relevant. When search engine optimization is properly done on your website it is easily indexed and easy to find on a search engine because of the various terms that people will use when searching for a specific piece of information. In a sense search engine optimization is like using more than one fishing pole with various kinds of bait, if the fish don’t bite one kind of bait they may bite onto the other one which either way will land the fish on your boat.

Whenever one publishes a website there is usually always one general goal which is to be visible to the broadest possible audience. The ultimate goal is to get as many people as possible to visit your site. This can be done in many ways including advertising in conventional media, which can prove very ineffective cost wise. The easiest way to get broad visibility is to be easily found through a search engine, and getting found on a search engine requires that your site is easily found. SEO or search engine optimization is the task of making the web content that you incorporate into your web design easily found via a search engine. There are many different strategies but there is only one main goal, and that’s to be easily found on a search engine.

Keywords are what a person would use on a search engine when searching for whatever they need, they will often use different terms to reach what they are looking for so it is important that you use a variety of keywords in your content so that it is easily found. The use of keywords should be kept to about a 2% density (for every one hundred words the keyword should appear twice) on any web page. Images should also be taken account of, images should have descriptions that include one or more keywords so that they are easily found on search engine’s image searches. However don’t over do it, make sure that the keywords you are using are actually pertinent on the web page you are attaching it to don’t just put keywords that have high search frequencies, make sure they are actually part of your content.

Getting a good ranking on the big search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo is the goal of every person who has a web site. After all, what is the point of having a nice web site if no one is going to see it? Traffic to a site means the use of SEO, and SEO is the result of good web design.

There are basic elements that should be incorporated into the design of every site in order to please the search engine bots. Some of these include:

Sparing or no use of flash elements. Bots can’t read or distinguish flash, so if your navigation uses flash, for instance, the bots may not be able to find any page but your front one.

Correct title tags. Every page of a site should have a unique page title. If each page has the same title tag, then the bot thinks that each page is the same. And titles should not exceed 65 characters. More than that and the bot won’t read it all.

Never leave empty alt tags on images. Every image should have its own tag. And never use images instead of critical text because a bot can’t read images.

Never use a ‘splash’ page because it will confuse a bot and make it think that is all your site is.

There are a lot more things that need to be taken into account during SEO and web design. Do your homework in order to succeed.

There is a lot more to having a good web site that will get traffic and make money than just pretty pages. There has to be good SEO in the design for a good ranking on search engines. SEO should be built right into the basic design and it is much easier to do it right the first time than it is to have to go back and redesign, add or take away things in order to please the search engines.

A web design that works for search engines has many elements that must be taken into account. Things like having all the tags correct, good titles on each page, not stuffing or under-using keywords, good and easy to use navigation, no splash pages, no flash (no matter how much you like it) and never using images for text are all key elements in good web design.

SEO is important if you ever want to get traffic to your web site. Most people only look through the first couple of pages of search results when they are looking for something. So if your site is sitting on page ten, then it might as well be invisible. It may take time and some doing, but optimizing your site design is the only way to be seen by lots of people.

SEO and web design have to work together for success. A site must be attractive to both people and search engine bots. It can be done, but it takes doing your homework during the design phase of your site.

You can have the prettiest web site ever made, but if your site is not search engine friendly then virtually no one will ever see it. If you want to succeed and have loads of traffic to your site, then you are going to need good search engine ranking. The best way to achieve this is to design your site with SEO incorporated into the design at every point.

Search engine robots love some things and hate some others. Things they look for and that will give you better ranking are good META tags, enough text on the pages, your keywords incorporated into the text but not stuffed, good coding such as always using alt tags for your graphics. Other items that help with SEO are a good amount of links from other sites that lead back to your site and easy navigation.

Robots hate too many graphics, especially ones with no alt tags and ones with text on them (robots can’t detect text on images), keyword stuffing (this can get your site banned), confusing navigation and not enough text on a page for them to detect what the page is about.

You always need to remember that SEO and web design are essential to getting traffic to your site. They should complement each other. They go hand-in-hand and they need to work together to have a good outcome. Do your homework during your site design phase and make your web site robot friendly. SEO is an on-going process. Do it right the first time so that you don’t have to go back and change a lot of things just to please the robots.

When you are designing a site, you may think you are designing it for yourself, or for you customers. While this is true, you also need to be designing it for search engines. If your site is not search engine friendly, then it is likely that you are the only one who is ever going to see it. SEO and web design should be hand-in-hand.

Carefully researching what elements are necessary for good ranking on the major search engines is just good sense. The elements that Google, for instance, requires for good ranking are ones that need to be incorporated right into the design of your site. And doing these things while you are building the site is a lot easier than having to go back and re-design parts in order to please search engine bots later.

Search engines such as Google have directions as to how to SEO your pages and later, they have software to use in order to check all the different elements to see if they are good. There are forums dedicated to SEO and web design where you can ask questions of experts, and there are certainly classes online you can take to teach you SEO. Some hosting sites such as GoDaddy have SEO checkers as well.

So there is a lot of help out there for you when it comes to SEO and web design. Avail yourself of all the information you can find and then use it. You won’t regret it when your site is on the first page of a major search engine such as Google!

A content mill is a website that publishes low-priced and sometimes low-quality web content. The content can be either user-submitted, paid, or it can be a mix. The name content mill itself appears derogatory, as it clearly implies that the content is just published in bulk to pump web content into search engines and is usually of low quality. The setback is that some websites that publish such low-priced content may well offer value, but it all depends on the person reading it.

Content Mills aren’t anything new. It’s actually a white hat SEO method, and has been in use for many years. It is all about researching for the right keywords, writing the keyword-relevant content, and publishing it to try and rank in search engine results. And you should repeat this as many times as required to get a good SEO outcome. If you can publish a webpage at a lesser price than your marketing return, then you should just do the process again and again to get the right results. And there are various means like Adsense, and affiliate programs to monetize the WebPages.

SEOs should decide on who is going to provide web content. There are a few ways for you when it comes to content development. You can write the content all by yourself, you can hire a web content supplier, or you can make use of the free articles in article directories. If you go for hiring a content supplier for your site, then you will have to set up your own strategies for quality. If you miss doing this, you will have to rely on the quality guidelines of your content supplier.

Many sites have used content suppliers only to realize later that the quality was second-rate. Usually, you get the content quality that you pay for. Instead of using content provided by any content mill or junk article supplier, if you are ready to invest a professional price, you will get professional content that will always work in your favor. Therefore SEOs shouldn’t take the cheap route if they want to make any site a respected authority. Hiring a professional content writer would be a much better idea.

Paid Links are considered spam by Google as it is a ranking shortcut which undermines search relevance algorithms. Links are rather difficult to scale so paid links usually only put forth a small influence on industry-hub keywords and general variations, protecting against any possible relevancy damage. Even so, Google dislikes paid links as they can reduce the diversity of the results.

To regulate link building efforts the easy way, Google came up with no-follow, which was meant to interrupt the course of equity across some links. Google supported spam reports that emphasize paid links. People are now realizing that Google had put the focus on domain authority & that links are now much tougher to obtain. So firms went on to place lead generation forms on reputed websites & some firms started to purchase these recognized sites. These firms then programmed and streamlined the procedure of content creation and transferred content into the purchased website until the returns on new content started to reduce.

Today companies are constructing a wide variety of content models from auto and semi auto-generated content to poor-quality manual rewrites. That is why the web is overflowing with a lot of useless content that only aims at SEO and not the humans. As promoting your own profile has become harder, many new websites offer free outgoing links to help persuade participation and get back-links for their sites. And once they reach a significant mass they declare that spam is a problem and get rid of the links by using no-follow.

A better approach to get people to link to your site is to have quality content on your site. Once you launch your site, if you want to speed up the job of getting people to link to it, you can contact similar websites for offering link exchange. Most often, sites similar to yours will also be interested in getting as many links as possible, so they will accept your proposal. Apart from being a better way to make people link to your website, this is also very cost-effective.

A PPC campaign is a marketing method comprising of statistics, bidding, and strategy. When used in the right way, it can effectively augment your SEO process. The following are some basics on PPC for beginners.

Bidding

Bidding is one of the important terminologies in PPC marketing. Advertisers usually bid for certain keyword phrases they think are related to their niche. While some content based websites usually ask for a fixed amount per click instead of going for a bid scheme.

Hosts should make sure that those who are clicking on the PPC ads are people who have a good chance of becoming customers. When the host has established the PPC campaign with all the right keywords and at least three variations in keyword, he/she should focus on getting only potential customers to click the PPC ads. You can filter out irrelevant visitors by using the right key words rather than just broad keywords.

Managing Bids

The more you bid, the more is the position, and higher the chance of conversion. While there are exclusions, you will need to check for the perfect position that strikes a balance for funds without compromising much on conversion.

Tracking

You can set up a way of tracking your Conversion rate. This helps in keeping track of the efficiency of the keywords in getting sales. But this doesn’t suggest any keyword’s profitability – the reason is that it does not track sales. To track profitability of your AdWords account and that of the keywords used, you need Google Analytics. Even though this is somewhat intricate to start off, it gives valuable data for free. Using this, you can decide whether to decrease the bids or dispose off the Google AdWords keywords.

Follow these tips and you will be on your way to doing PPC more effectively. PPC offers some unique approaches that are not available in SEO. Using PPC, you get great control on where you want the visitor to land in your site, and also offer click data and statistical traffic. So start PPC now in your site and see how the income grows with every click.
